Cameo Island
The most unique and whimsical choice: getting married on a Greek island surrounded by the glistening waters and coves of Cameo.
Cameo is located in Agios Sostis nearby to the resort of Laganas. Cross over the wooden bride and embark on your own magical fairytale setting. Say 'I do' in front of the beautiful waters whilst being surrounded by the islands natural beauty and cliffs. A truly romantic setting and your own personal paradise.
Your wedding ceremony will be held in a picturesque cove, which you and your guests can also reach by boat, giving the occasion a story-book charm.
A maximum of two weddings a day can be held on Cameo Island, from May to mid-October. Director style chairs included however Chivari / Tiffany chairs can be added. (5 euros per chair).
There is no bar and receptions can not be held on the island. Our wedding coordinator in resort can arrange drinks for a toast after the ceremony. (To be paid locally). Water, beers, prosecco and soft drinks can be purchased locally and will be brought to the cove.
After your ceremony there is plenty of time for a toast and photos with your loved ones before heading off to continue the celebrations. We offer many choices from the traditional Vrachos taverna, the modern beach club vibes of Infinity. Alternatively see Venus Gardens and Aresti wedding venues which can be hired for reception only. Many choices to suit all styles, pallets and budgets.
Cameo Island maximum capacity 90. Transport from Cameo to the reception is not included in our packages however we can arrange this for you.
Times for ceremony are 14:00-16:00 or 17:00-19:00. During peak times of the year during the day is busy around the island.
Due to the steep steps Cameo is not suitable for those with walking difficulties.
Cameo Island is open during wedding times to the public heading to the view point however the beach cove for the ceremony is private.
For legal weddings couples will need to attend the Town Hall for the official papers and ceremony with a Symbolic ceremony on site at Cameo.
