St George is untouched by the commercialism of larger resorts and ranks as one of the quieter spots on the island, offering tranquillity.
Also known as Aghios Georgios, located on the south-west coast of Corfu (not to be confused with Agios Georgios in the North of the island) is set on 5km of golden sand, virtually untouched by the commercialism of the larger resorts and ranks as one of the few quieter spots on the island. There is a good selection of tavernas and shops plus a couple of music bars to enjoy in the evenings.
In addition to relaxing on the long stretch of beach, walking & cycling is also popular in this part of Corfu and for the more adventurous, a visit to the Island is not complete without a day or evening spent wandering around one of Greece’s most beautiful towns, the Capital that is Corfu Town, approx. 30km away, with its unique architecture of Venetian, French & English influences amongst others.
St George South offers a range of accommodation from traditional self-catering to all-inclusive options.
